It was difficult to finish the book without tears. Despite certain similarities, each of the seven stories has its own distinct voice in the way it is told. About the Author
Swapnil Pandey is the bestselling author of Soldier’s Girl and Love Story of a Commando. Both her works of fiction emphasise the emotions of a soldier and have been a rage among youngsters. She is also a star blogger with an audience-base reaching up to lakhs of people.
Apart from blogging professionally for various brands, she also loves compiling stories about life in the Indian military. Since lockdown 2020, she has also started producing motivational and informational videos to add value to the lives of her audiences. The book takes you through the journeys which come alive a number of times immersing you into ocean of emotions. Amazing book (. A big salute to the author who has put in tremendous effort to reach out to each of the veer naaris hear their heart wrenching stories. When life is all good with a strike there is darkness all over but the invisible hands energy from within turns that darkness into a light to make the life a beautiful again. Each page is wet with the tears but pushes you to the next to hear another story. Speechless. Thank you Swapnil ma’am for this book, I guess asking for part 2 of this book is a bit more as I understand the emotions you as a person you must have gone through. But, If possible do try. The stories narrated in the book are a roller coaster of emotions as they make you both happy and sad. What the book never fails to do is to motivate you, All the stories in the book are so inspiring and fill you with josh.
The stories mentioned in the book move you and leave you speechless as they start with such happiness and almost always end with such pain. One story which touched me and was really inspiring was the story of Lance Naik Raj Kumar Mahto’s wife. One has to read her story to believe how she rose against all odds with her perseverance.
The stories tell us about the role AWWA (Army Wives Welfare Association) play in the life of these veer Narees. I would like to applaud the efforts of the author who brought life the stories and make the reader live through them as if we are a part of the family of men in uniform and their wives.
